That time Obama came to Portland (pics and video)

You might have heard that President Obama was in Portland last night, it was pretty big news. His visit caused major traffic delays, which upset many Portlanders who were unable (or unwilling) to attend the event.

But for the thousands of people who waited in line and crammed into the age old Portland Expo building, Obama’s visit was an exciting, amazing experience.

Grumpy old conservatives will shake their fist and screech all things common for screeching about the President, they’ll rehash every angry little tidbit that has been spewed from news outlets like Fox News and pundits like Rush Limbaugh. They’ll say things like “Portland liberals love the Muslim president” or “Portland is run by fascist liberals, so they love a president with Hussein for a middle name”- yes, these were real comments that I read on Facebook.

But the people who were in the Expo building to support Maine’s Democratic candidates and see the President in person simply didn’t care about all that negative nonsense- last night was fun.

So here’s some cool pictures and videos that I was able to catch on my phone, hope you like them folks!
